My Approach
Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all, especially when it comes to Black folks and other historically excluded communities. As a licensed therapist with over 13 years of experience, I bring my whole self into the work: clinical expertise, cultural understanding, and a deep belief in people’s ability to heal.
My work centers trauma, OCD, and teaching DBT skills in a way that’s practical, compassionate, and tailored to the lived experiences of my clients. I primarily work with Black individuals and people of color, because I believe representation matters, and healing looks different when you feel truly seen.
This work is personal. I know what it means to carry generational pain, to unlearn survival mode, and to rebuild trust with yourself. My role is to create a space where you can unpack, breathe, and grow.
I also bring books into the therapy space, because stories help us name things we didn’t have words for. For example, reading a novel where a character learns to set boundaries might lead us into a powerful session about how you’ve struggled to do the same. Literature can be a mirror, and I use it to help clients reflect, connect, and heal.
If you’re looking for therapy that honors who you are and where you come from, this is that space.
